KASUDAB (Careers of university dropouts in companies with dual training in the district of Bautzen) – Careers of dropouts in companies with dual training in the district of Bautzen
The goal of the project is a „matching“ between dropouts and companies. The lead partner of the project is SLAS w.V. (Saxony Light Aviation Systems w. V.), an association of various well-known companies at Kamenz airfield and in the entire district of Bautzen. KASUDAB determines the training needs of these companies in order to be able to place interested parties in a targeted manner.
In order to get the best possible personal impression of the training companies, KASUDAB organizes free trips to the company locations, establishes direct contact with the human resources managers and tries to negotiate additional advantages when starting the dual training. The SLAS w.V. association offers the possibility to get to know different trainings in detail. In addition, there is the possibility of placement in a dual study program at the BA Bautzen.
Sponsor: Alliance of skilled workers in the district of Bautzen

Chamber of Crafts Dresden
Dropping out of studies – What now? What to do!
The Dresden Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Small Businesses advises students who have doubts about their studies or who have dropped out of their studies on the questions „What do I do now? How do I go on?“ and supports them in their decision-making process towards a suitable dual vocational training program in the skilled trades as a promising alternative to university studies.
The counseling includes personal discussions on suitable apprenticeship occupations as well as support in the search for an apprenticeship position and contacting a suitable company.
The program „Passgenaue Besetzung – “ supported by KMU (Small and medium-sized businessess) finding the perfect fit for apprenticeships and the integration of foreign skilled workers“ is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the European Social Fund.
The Employment Agency, the Dresden Chamber of Crafts and the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce work together with Dresden’s universities to support students who are uncertain about their decision and dropouts on their way to a professional future.

Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce
You are unsure about your studies, there is too much theory or other reasons that make you doubt? Dual vocational training combines theory and practice very closely. The acquired theoretical knowledge is immediately applied in practice. Almost all companies provide training for their own needs, so that if you complete your training well, you are almost certain to be taken on as an employee. In addition, a bachelor’s level degree can be obtained following the apprenticeship with further vocational training and there is remuneration from day 1 of the apprenticeship. Skilled workers and apprenticeships are sought in all industries. What suits me, which is the right profession for me? What opportunities are there even after the dual vocational training? Our staff will be happy to assist you.

Chamber of Notaries Saxony
The Chamber of Notaries of Saxony advises university dropouts on training as notary clerks. Work in the notary’s office is as varied and colorful as life itself. Notaries handle cases that come from the everyday life. You need a flair for dealing with people and an open ear for questions.
Whether it is a will, the formation of a company or the purchase of a house – the profession is never boring. In contrast to lawyers, notaries are neutral public officials. They provide legal advice to the parties involved and prepare and implement deeds. Notary clerks help with this. They process documents independently and are in constant contact with clients, authorities and courts.

Green professions
Dropouts have the opportunity to learn a so-called green profession. Today, modern agricultural companies take on additional services, ecological and balancing functions for our society, nature and the environment. They also make a significant contribution to economic development as contractors and employers in rural areas.

The Weg-X project is financed in the period 01.11.2017 to 31.12.2019 by the Sächsische Aufbaubank, according to the SMWA Skilled Workers Guideline, Part B Item 1 (Skilled Workers Alliance/ Measures to Secure Skilled Workers).
