There is a framework for inclusive higher education: the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Higher Education Framework Act and state higher education laws, as well as voluntary commitments such as the HRK recommendation „A University for All“. The motto is: Equal opportunities! But what is the real situation? Casey has been programming since she was 10 years old and has decided to study media informatics. After four semesters, she dropped out of university and has been working freelance ever since. In this episode, you can find out what Casey, as a severely visually impaired person, would like to see in the university landscape, what is important when looking for a suitable assistant and why it was important for Casey to study – and then not to study again.
